Church of St. Peter Martyr
Lilies are among St. Dominic's attributes, but without the inscription below it would not be easy to identify the saint. The upper inscription may be translated "A faithful and prudent servant whom God placed above his family."
This is part of a decorative strip of several frescos below the clerestory in the church, all celebrating Dominican notables. They are in excellent condition because they were covered over for centuries and only rediscovered in the 1920s.
