Saints Protasius and Gervasius

Breisach Minster, Germany: Right wing of the high altar

The two saints wear the artist's conception of the white tunic and mantle of Ambrose's vision, but without the boots and with the addition of contemporary hats. Their attributes are the sword with which Protasius was beheaded and the scourge with which Gervasius was beaten to death.
