This is an example of the type of Ascension image that shows only the feet of Christ as he rises into the clouds. Usually the Apostles are protrayed as looking up, even straining their necks; but here their heads are barely raised. The stylized hill between them would be Mount Olivet, from which they depart in Acts 1:12.
