St. Anthony can be identified by the tau-cross staff, the bell, and the pig. The older king's crown is on the ground in a conventional gesture of humility. The middle-aged king holds the myrrh in a jar similar to some in images of St. Mary Magdalene. The younger king holds the incense in a horn. The small African figure genuflecting at the far right seems to be supporting the horn's holder with his right hand. Is that a small boat at his left foot?

According to the Getty Center's label, this work exemplifies the International Gothic style.
