Left of Judas and Jesus is the "great multitude with swords and clubs" mentioned in Mark and Matthew. On the right are the soldiers mentioned in John. In the center, St. Peter has cut off the ear of one of the servants of the High Priest. The ear itself is in Jesus' left hand: in Luke, he will make the servant whole.

As in the Last Supper and Agony in the Garden panels to the left of this one, Judas is shown with a halo.
