Local Name: El Señor de la
Basis for Identification: INRI plaque, streaming blood, cruciform halo, red loincloth with scutum.
Other characteristics: U.S. dollar
bills and metal brooch pinned to loincloth, tasseled
cincture, cloth band holding chest to cross.
Site: Church of San
Location: In a glass case in the center of a free-standing retablo along the south wall of nave (see note).
Media and construction: Wood, gesso, paint, fabric loincloth and scutum. Eyes: closed. Hair: wig.
Size: About 4 feet (120 cm.)
